The major atraction of Orient bay is of course a nude beach and the world´s famous Club Orient, the island´s only naturist resort at the southern end of the beach.

Plum bay

is just beside Long Bay and well known to surfers. The beach is very little visited during weekdays, although beautiful and without a doubt one of the most peaceful and romantic beaches on the island, it is also a great romantic sunset spot. There’s lots of sand, and snorkeling is good..

Grand case bay

is a sweeping curve of the a very pretty one mille long white sandy beach with quite calm waters good for swimming . A section of the water has been roped off for a kids to be able to swimm safetly . There is several beach bars and restaourants as well and small hôtels . Frugal travellers will appriciate the beachside market square “lolos” serving grilled lobster ,barbecue foor and treats .

Baie Rouge

is a charming and quite beach pearfect to spend lazy afternoon on this beautifull beach with a view of Anguilla island. You can also get massage from fresh aloa …When you swim or snorkel out of the East following the shore line you will find q cave through whichI you can snorkel .

Dutch side beaches:

Maho Beach

is an almost white powdery sand beach with no natural shades, like trees. Loungers and umbrellas are available for rent. The beach has several resorts, hotels and beach bars/restaurants in walking distance. Facilities close by include the Sonesta Maho, and Maho Beach Resort.

Maho bay beach is the beach you can see on all those YouTube videos . A smallish but busy beach at the end of Princess Juliana International airoport runway where people can photograph the planes landing right over head . Don´t forget to bring your camera, because nowhere else a Boeing 747 will be passing as close over your head as on Maho Beach.

Dawn beach

is a fine beach of sugar white powdery sand facing the East side of Sint Maarten. Snorkeling is absolutely incredible. The coral reef is a bit off the shore, so you’ll have first to swim to get to the best snorkeling spots. The surf can sometimes be a little challenging, so for very young children or toddlers Dawn Beach is not always an ideal beach. It all depends on the weather! This beach has become quite popular in the recent years, for its pristine white sand beach and also for facilities provided, such as beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, bar and restaurant services. its a great beach to hang out with a family

Simpson bay

is an ideal beach for a long walk or challenging run . It is a grate place even to sit back and watch the incredible mega yahts glide in and out of Simpson Bay Lagoon . You can also enyoj in view of the island of Saba in some distance, which looks like a big mountain peaking out of the sea is just spectacular. this is a longest and most muliti-faceted beach the island offers . It has selection that is lively with beach bars and restaurants to a more placid location where only towel and good book are needed .

Gray bay beach …

Paralleling the main shopping street “Front Street” in Philipsburg, facing South, lies Gray bay beach . The beach is long of over a mile, and wide. There is plenty of fine white sand, and the water is good for a swim, usually visited by cruise ship tourists and its good for a family :great accessibility to shopping ,lots of restaurant ,water sports. Parents can relax on beach chairs with their toes in the warm sand while children frolic in the cool water or make sand castles.

Cupecoy Beach

is a small, clothing optional beach located at the Southwest corner of St Maarten. It is lined with beautiful rock formations and caves. A few travel guidebooks say that it is a gay beach, and some couples on the beach may indeed be gay, but no one gives demonstrations, so there is no reason to worry about it.. There is one beach bar at Cupecoy beach so you can enjoy in mixed drinks, beers, sodas, etc. are available, as well as chicken and ribs. They also rent chairs and umbrellas.
